Augmented Reality

Augmented reality (AR) is a technology that embeds digital objects into the physical world and allows them to be experienced using an AR-enabled device such as a smartphone or glasses. An example of this is viewing virtual furniture in a room to see how it looks and if it fits the style and size of the room.

Virtual Reality

Virtual Reality (VR) is a technology that allows immersion in a fully artificial, computer-generated environment and experience it with a VR headset. An example of this is the training of employees in an industrial plant, who can initially learn in a virtual environment without being exposed to hazards.

Rendering

Rendering is a process of creating 2D images or animations from 3D modeling software.

An example of 3D rendering is the creation of photorealistic images of new architectural projects that have not yet been built to give potential investors or clients an idea of what the finished building will look like.

Metaverse

Das Metaverse ist ein Konzept einer vernetzten, virtuellen Welt, die von Milliarden von Nutzern bewohnt wird und es ermöglicht, miteinander zu interagieren und digitale Erfahrungen zu teilen. Sowohl Augmented Reality (AR) als auch Virtual Reality (VR) werden als Technologien betrachtet, die dazu beitragen können, das Metaverse zu realisieren, indem sie es den Nutzern ermöglichen, in eine virtuelle Welt einzutauchen und digitale Objekte in der physischen Welt zu erleben.

Artificial intelligence

Artificial Intelligence (AI) or AI is an umbrella term that refers to the development of computer algorithms capable of demonstrating human-like intelligence at various levels. This includes capabilities such as speech recognition, decision making, and problem solving. An example of AI is a chatbot that automatically responds to customer queries and gets better and better at giving the right answer through machine learning.

Machine Learning

Machine learning (ML) is a subfield of AI that focuses on developing algorithms that allow computers to learn from experience and data, rather than being explicitly programmed. The algorithms are trained with a large amount of data to identify patterns and relationships based on which they can make future decisions.

Internet of Things

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a concept that refers to the networking of devices, objects and sensors to collect and analyze data and make automated decisions. An example of IoT is a smart thermostat that automatically adjusts the temperature of a home to the habits and needs of the occupants by collecting and analyzing data from sensors to improve energy efficiency and save costs.
